If you are a child of the 90s, the idea of mirrored coffee tables would most likely feel both odd and garish. In an era where beige was the color of choice and simple, straight lines along with rigid geometric shapes defined a modern style that quickly became generic, there was really no room for something so sparkly and brilliant. But as with everything else, the circle of fashion and design has once again revived styles such as vintage, retro, Art Deco and even Hollywood Regency. And with this revival, mirrored décor once again found space in homes across the globe.
We end our round coffee table collection with this Marble Oval Coffee Table from West Elm. In fact, oval coffee tables are becoming more rare in the current design realm, as perfect circles and long rectangles seem to be the norm. Not only is the antiqued metal base of this piece sturdy yet elegant, the marble slab top gleams without being garish.
Black combines well with many other bold hues, and red is a perennial favorite that never seems to disappoint. Another classic color duo is black and yellow, and those looking to turn up the glam quotient can replace yellow with the sparkle of gold. In an eclectic living room filled with contemporary refinement and multi-colored brilliance, few coffee tables seem as much at home as those in black!
